Pathway participates in Ride for Refuge

Pathway is participating again this year in the annual Ride for Refuge, a family-friendly bike-a-thon fundraiser for charities serving the displaced, vulnerable, and exploited. This is a country-wide annual event that has raised over $6,000,000 for North American charities since 2004.

The date this year is Saturday, October 3rd and participants have a choice to walk 5 km, or bike a route of 10, 25 or 50 km for the charity of their choice. Locations are all across the country: Winnipeg, Kitchener/Waterloo, Toronto East, Montreal, Brampton, Ottawa, and many others. There is also the option to design your own walking/riding route as long as you have a team of 4 participants and live more than an hour away from an official route. This means our youth groups can participate on the reserve!

What we invite all of our past and present volunteers as well as our campers to do is go to the website, register your team and start raising support. Together we can keep Pathway programs operating year-round and maybe even raise enough funds to replace one of our vehicles. Our goal this year is $15,000.

We need your help. Come join us! It’ll be a blast.
